Boys' Soccer Ties Worcester in Season Opener
Brooks started off its season with a highly intense, competitive match this afternoon against one of the better sides in New England Prep soccer. Worcester got on the board first in the 20th minute after some confusion reigned in the otherwise steady Brooks backline. A deflected shot sailed over goalkeeper Glen Martin into the far corner. But the home team regained control of the midfield and pressed the action throughout the remainder of the first half. The hard work up front of Zach Vieira and Elijah Soko created an opportunity early in the second half and Sam Milbury buried a rebound in the 48th minute to even the score. Though Brooks pressed for the winner throughout the remainder of the match it was not to be. The boys were impressive in their 90 minute effort and only lacked a bit tidier play in the front third to carry the day. It was a fine start to the season.
