Brooks Comes Out On Top Of ISL Battle
The First Team gave
one of its best performances of the past five or six seasons with a through
domination of a very strong B.B.&N. side in North Andover this afternoon.
Brooks carried the play to the visitors from the opening whistle and Glen
Martin and Cam Johst were called upon to make only a save apiece over the
course of ninety minutes. Zach
Vieira opened the scoring finishing a fine service from Jon Stronach in
the 5th minute. Brooks pressed for more but were denied by solid goalkeeping
the woodwork twice before Stronach was taken down in 42nd minute on a dazzling
run through the box. Andres Burbank-Crump stuffed his own saved penalty by the
keeper for the 2-0 halftime scoreline. Brooks got right at it after halftime
when Sam Milbury took a pass from Porter Grieve, wove his way at the top of the
box and buried the ball to the far post. It was Elijah Soko who finished Alex
Vozzella's feed in the 70th minute for the final 4-0 scoreline. The Brooks
defense was resolute in the face of much attacking talent. Brooks is in second
place in ISL play and now hosts league leading Nobles Friday afternoon to
finish off a very exciting week of soccer.
