Brooks wins windy affair at Lawrence Academy
This windy affair was
well refereed and well played. Dan Caeser was very effective for Lawrence in
the back and quite dangerous when coming forward on set pieces. Matt Tower was
outstanding in goal for the home side, as well. It was Zach Vieira's day, however, as he finished
a nice feed from Elijah Soko in the 27th minute from in close. Then in the
second half he took a long service from Alex Vozzella and slotted home a ball
to the far post. Brooks attacked well but was unable to beat Tower otherwise.
The Brooks defenders were resolute throughout the ninety minutes and gave the
Lawrence attackers very little space to find chances. The Brooksians were in
solid control for most of this match.
Dad's Game Review - I wasn't able to make this game.
Unfortunately, for me, it was Zach's breakout game. Reports from many of
the parents raved about Zach's play over the last 5 games and how his hard work
really paid off today.
